Classroom Release Time

Our teachers are given dedicated time outside the classroom for Classroom Release Time (CRT), which we use to enhance our curriculum and prioritise our learners' needs. This time allows us to develop and implement robust Art and P.E. programs, ensuring our learners receive a well-rounded education that fosters creativity and physical well-being. Each week, learners take part in an art session and a P.E. session.

The Arts

Our passionate art teacher equips learners with important art skills, nurturing their creativity and expression. Each term, updates on their progress and projects are shared on Hero, keeping whaanau informed and engaged in their artistic journey. We have lots of amazing artwork around the school designed by our learners to build a strong identity and belonging for all.

Health and Physical Education

Our P.E. programme was developed in response to feedback from our community, emphasising the importance of building foundational skills essential for all types of sports as our learners grow. Under the guidance of our dedicated P.E. teacher, learners participate in a variety of activities designed to enhance their physical abilities and overall well-being. This program not only supports skill development but also fosters teamwork and a lifelong appreciation for physical fitness using our school's key skills in particular, GRIT.

Grit is working hard, never giving up when it gets challenging, understanding my goals and learning from my mistakes.
